Job 19:2

How long will ye vex my soul, and break me in pieces with words?

  10. Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
  11. There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.
  12. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
  13. And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
  14. And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
  15. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
