Wilt thou break a leaf driven to and fro? and wilt thou pursue the dry stubble?

  1. And upon them that are left alive of you I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.
  2. They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away.
  3. After whom is the king of Israel come out? after whom dost thou pursue? after a dead dog, after a flea.
  4. And dost thou open thine eyes upon such an one, and bringest me into judgment with thee?

  6. A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.
