Jeremiah 7:34

Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.

  7. I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.
  8. Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
  9. For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.
  10. And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she being desolate shall sit upon the ground.
  11. Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,
  12. Thus saith the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,
  13. Notwithstanding the land shall be desolate because of them that dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings.
