Jeremiah 10:10

But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.

  10. LORD, when thou wentest out of Seir, when thou marchedst out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, the clouds also dropped water.
  11. And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?
  12. Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.
  13. And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God.
  14. Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.
  15. Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble.
  16. Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
  17. The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.
  18. The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook.
  19. My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
  20. Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.
  21. Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.
  22. His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.
  23. He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.
  24. Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
  25. It may be the LORD thy God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach the living God, and will reprove the words which the LORD thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that is left.
  26. Incline thine ear, O LORD, and hear; open thine eyes, O LORD, and see: and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent to reproach the living God.
  27. And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God.
  28. How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.
  29. And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:
  30. I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.
  31. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
  32. And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?
  33. And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place.
  34. He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are everlasting.
  35. The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high.
  36. But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:
  37. And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
  38. But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.
  39. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
  40. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
  41. And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
  42. For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;
  43. Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
  44. Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
  45. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
  46. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
  47. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
