James 5:19

Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;

  1. Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
  2. Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments.
  3. Thou hast trodden down all them that err from thy statutes: for their deceit is falsehood.
  4. Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge.
  5. As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
  6. The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them.
  7. I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.
  8. But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
  9. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
  10. Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.
  11. Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
  12. Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
  13. But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
  14. Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
  15. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
  16. Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
  17. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
