James 3:9

Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.

  11. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
  12. To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
  13. I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
  14. And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.
  15. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
  16. Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
  17. For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.
  18. They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.
  19. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
  20. My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.
  21. O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
  22. As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him. As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.
  23. Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
  24. For oftentimes also thine own heart knoweth that thou thyself likewise hast cursed others.
  25. Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
  26. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
  27. Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.
  28. Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
