Isaiah 48:19

Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.

  8. Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:
  9. Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.
  10. Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.
  11. Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.
  12. For I will rise up against them, saith the LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the LORD.
  13. For my name's sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.
  14. Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
  15. For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
  16. I will also stretch out mine hand upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, and the name of the Chemarims with the priests;
