Isaiah 40:31

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

  8. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
  9. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
  10. Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
  11. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
  12. The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.
  13. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
  14. Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
  15. But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
  16. For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life: But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;
  17. And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord God, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.
  18. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
  19. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
  20. Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
  21. And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
  22. And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.
  23. And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the LORD.
  24. And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
  25. And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
  26. Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom. His flesh shall be fresher than a child's: he shall return to the days of his youth: He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his righteousness.
  27. Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
  28. Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.
  29. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
  30. Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us.
  31. And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.
  32. And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
  33. Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
  34. Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I raised thee up under the apple tree: there thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth that bare thee.
