Hebrews 4:11

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

  9. For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
  10. Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
  11. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
  12. Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
  13. For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
  14. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
  15. For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
  16. And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
  17. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
