Hebrews 3:10

Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

  8. But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.
  9. For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
  10. My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused them to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God.
  11. And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
  12. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
  13. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
  14. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
  15. For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
  16. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
  17. And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
  18. Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
