Hebrews 10:36

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

  8. Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
  9. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
  10. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
  11. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
  12. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
  13. For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
  14. Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
  15. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
  16. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
  17. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
  18. And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
  19. For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:
  20. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
  21. But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
  22. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
  23. Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
  24. Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
  25. Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
  26. Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
  27. Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
  28. Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
  29. That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
  30. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
  31. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
  32. Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
  33. Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
  34. He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
  35. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
