Genesis 39:4

And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.

  8. And I have oxen, and asses, flocks, and menservants, and womenservants: and I have sent to tell my lord, that I may find grace in thy sight.
  9. And he said, What meanest thou by all this drove which I met? And he said, These are to find grace in the sight of my lord.
  10. Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.
  11. And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he hath found favour in my sight.
  12. Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven. And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that I may build it.
  13. The king's favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame.
  14. When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
  15. A wise servant shall have rule over a son that causeth shame, and shall have part of the inheritance among the brethren.
  16. Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
  17. Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured.
  18. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
