Ecclesiastes 12:13

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

  7. And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.
  8. He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great. The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children. Ye are blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth.
  9. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
  10. The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.
  11. Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long.
  12. I sought in mine heart to give myself unto wine, yet acquainting mine heart with wisdom; and to lay hold on folly, till I might see what was that good for the sons of men, which they should do under the heaven all the days of their life.
  13. For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?
  14. He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
  15. And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.
  16. Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
  17. And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
