Ecclesiastes 12:11

The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.

  11. Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?
  12. But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
  13. Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
  14. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
  15. (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
  16. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
  17. Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
  18. And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
