Deuteronomy 7:9

Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

  11. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
  12. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
  13. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
  14. And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
  15. Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him.
  16. Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;
  17. I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.
  18. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
  19. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
  20. But if any man love God, the same is known of him.
  21. And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
  22. In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
  23. That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
  24. Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
  25. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
