Deuteronomy 6:6

And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

  1. Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
  2. And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.
  3. The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
  4. Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.
  5. But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
  6. I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
  7. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
  8. Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.
  9. When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
  10. My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
  11. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
  12. Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.
  13. And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.
  14. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
  15. Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
  16. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
  17. For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.
