Colossians 1:10

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

  1. I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
  2. Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
  3. For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever.
  4. Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

  9. Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
  10. And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
  11. Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
  12. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
  13. Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
  14. But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.
  15. As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
  16. And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
  17. Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
  18. Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
  19. That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.
  20. Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
  21. And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.
  22. By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
  23. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
  24. Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
  25. Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
  26. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  27. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
  28. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
  29. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
  30. When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
  31. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
  32. But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
  33. For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
  34. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
  35. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
  36. And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.
  37. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
  38. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
  39. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
  40. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
