Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

  1. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
  2. But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.
  3. And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
  4. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
  5. And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,
  6. And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,
  7. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
  8. But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
