Acts 3:14

But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

  6. And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas: (Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.)
  7. And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.
  8. And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.
  9. Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.
  10. My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
  11. And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
  12. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
  13. And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.
  14. But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.
  15. And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
  16. Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
  17. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
