And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.
  8. Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?
  9. Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith the LORD, and with your children's children will I plead.
  10. Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
  11. And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.
  12. Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
