Acts 2:5

And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

  8. For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
  9. And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
  10. And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:
  11. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
  12. And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,
  13. A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
  14. And when the angel which spake unto Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually;
  15. But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.
  16. And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there,
  17. If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
