Acts 16:2

Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium.

  3. And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,
  4. And they went out of the prison, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.
  5. Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
  6. Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.
  7. Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.
  8. Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
  9. And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
  10. For by it the elders obtained a good report.
