Acts 15:6

And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.

  2. Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.
  3. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
  4. Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.
  5. And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
  6. And the day following Paul went in with us unto James; and all the elders were present.
  7. Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
  8. Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
