Acts 15:22

Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:

  11. And then immediately the brethren sent away Paul to go as it were to the sea: but Silas and Timotheus abode there still.
  12. And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ.

  15. And all the people took notice of it, and it pleased them: as whatsoever the king did pleased all the people.

  18. But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.   19. Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
  20. Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.
  21. And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved. When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
  22. And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:
  23. It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
