Acts 12:7

And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.

  9. Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron: Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him. The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
  10. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
  11. O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.
  12. And this shall be a sign unto thee, Ye shall eat this year such as groweth of itself; and the second year that which springeth of the same: and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof.
  13. Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
  14. And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.
  15. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
  16. My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.
  17. I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.
  18. And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.
  19. The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.
  20. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
  21. And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
  22. Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
  23. And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
  24. And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
  25. And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.
  26. And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.
  27. For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.
  28. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
  29. Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
  30. And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
