Acts 12:17

But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place.

  10. I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people. Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
  11. But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
  12. And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless.
  13. After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.
  14. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
  15. And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.
  16. Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.
  17. Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake.
  18. And they went out of the prison, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.
  19. James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
