2 Timothy 3:15

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

  11. Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
  12. For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.
  13. And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.
  14. And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
  15. And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
  16. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
  17. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
  18. To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
  19. And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.
  20. Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
  21. And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
  22. (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
  23. But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
  24. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
  25. Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
  26. Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
  27. As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
  28. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
  29. And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
