2 Kings 10:31

But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the LORD God of Israel with all his heart: for he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam, which made Israel to sin.

  7. That the LORD may continue his word which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said he) a man on the throne of Israel.
  8. And he shall give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, who did sin, and who made Israel to sin.
  9. Nevertheless he cleaved unto the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which made Israel to sin; he departed not therefrom.
  10. Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.
  11. They clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God's law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes;
  12. I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.
  13. They kept not the covenant of God, and refused to walk in his law;
  14. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
  15. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
  16. Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.
  17. Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
  18. Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
