2 Corinthians 9:13

Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;

  9. But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
  10. But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
  11. Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ's gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord,
  12. Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.
  13. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
  14. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
  15. Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
  16. Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
  17. And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
  18. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
  19. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
  20. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
  21. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
