2 Corinthians 5:1

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

  7. For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
  8. Thou liftest me up to the wind; thou causest me to ride upon it, and dissolvest my substance.
  9. When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
  10. We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.
  11. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
  12. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
  13. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
  14. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
  15. In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
  16. For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
  17. For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
  18. To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
  19. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
  20. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
  21. We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
  22. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
  23. And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
