2 Chronicles 6:40

Now, my God, let, I beseech thee, thine eyes be open, and let thine ears be attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.

  7. O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;
  8. Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;
  9. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? O my God, I cry in the day time, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.
  10. Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.
  11. The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
  12. O LORD God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee:
  13. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
  14. Incline thine ear, O LORD, and hear; open thine eyes, O LORD, and see: and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent to reproach the living God.
  15. O LORD, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us. Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake. O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies. O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.
