1 Thessalonians 5:24

Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

  9. But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
  10. For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
  11. To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,
  12. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
  13. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
  14. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
  15. The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand: That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders. This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.
  16. O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.
  17. For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.
  18. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
  19. Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.
  20. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
  21. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
  22. He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.
  23. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
  24. Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
  25. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
  26. Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  27. Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
  28. If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
  29. In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
  30. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
  31. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
  32. According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
  33. These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
