1 Thessalonians 5:19

Quench not the Spirit.

  9. Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.
  10. But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.
  11. Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
  12. Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
