1 Thessalonians 3:6

But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:

  8. After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth;
  9. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
  10. Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,
  11. The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen.
  12. For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.
  13. But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to see your face with great desire.
  14. For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God; Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?
  15. We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
  16. Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
  17. I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;
  18. Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
  19. Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
  20. Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
  21. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
