1 Thessalonians 2:19

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

  10. Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right.
  11. Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.
  12. Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
  13. For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
  14. That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost. I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God. For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed, Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
  15. Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
  16. For ye are our glory and joy.
  17. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
  18. That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
  19. I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
  20. Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
  21. And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
  22. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
  23. Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
  24. The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
  25. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
