1 Samuel 26:10

David said furthermore, As the LORD liveth, the LORD shall smite him; or his day shall come to die; or he shall descend into battle, and perish.

  9. The LORD therefore be judge, and judge between me and thee, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of thine hand.
  10. Is there not an appointed time to man upon earth? are not his days also like the days of an hireling?
  11. Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;
  12. If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.
  13. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
  14. O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself. Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.
  15. And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.
  16. A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
  17. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
  18. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
  19. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
