1 John 3:19

And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

  4. And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
  5. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
  6. For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
  7. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
  8. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
  9. These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
  10. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
  11. We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
  12. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
