1 John 1:8

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

  8. I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?
  9. Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.
  10. How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
  11. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
  12. For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.
  13. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
  14. But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
  15. For though thou wash thee with nitre, and take thee much soap, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord GOD. How canst thou say, I am not polluted, I have not gone after Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what thou hast done: thou art a swift dromedary traversing her ways;
  16. Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
  17. Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
  18. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
  19. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
  20. If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
  21. And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
  22. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
  23. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
  24. And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
  25. For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.
  26. For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.
