1 John 1:2

(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

  12. That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
  13. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
  14. The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth: While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world. When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth: When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep: When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth: Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
  15. No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
  16. And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
  17. But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.
  18. I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
  19. I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
  20. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
  21. This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.
  22. Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
  23. This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
  24. And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
  25. Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
  26. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
  27. Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
  28. But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
  29. In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
  30. The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
