1 Corinthians 9:24

Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

  7. I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.
  8. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
  9. Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
  10. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
  11. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
  12. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
