1 Chronicles 29:18

O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:

  7. LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:
  8. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
  9. I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love.
  10. Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.
  11. O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
  12. And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:
  13. I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
  14. The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.
  15. Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
  16. And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
  17. Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.
  18. Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
  19. Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
