1 Chronicles 25:6

All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God, according to the king's order to Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.

  6. The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; among them were the damsels playing with timbrels.
  7. Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
  8. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
